June 4 2011 Meeting Minutes

 
The meeting was called to order at 4:10PM by Kathy Jankowski.The following officers were present: Kathy Jankowski, Sandi Roberts, Ann Shanks, Linda Lewis, Dan Cowell.Approximately 220 members and their guests were present for the annual bull roast.

Secretary’s Report: Sandi Roberts summarized the minutes of the 5.7.11 Membership Meeting.There were no additions or corrections and the minutes were approved as read.

New Business:

Linda announced the executive board’s recommendations for officers:
President (2-year term) – John Eckenrode
2nd Vice President (2-year term) – Dan Cowell

Treasurer (2-year term) – Linda Paul

and asked for other nominations from the floor; there were none.A motion was made, seconded and voted on to approve the new officers; the motion passed.

Kathy presented Monte Wisbrock of the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire company with a donation of $1500 from the SBPOA.
She also announced that there were 30 geraniums placed on tables for residents to take home to help with beautifying the town.
and that yard waste must be in paper bags or trash cans; plastic bags will not be picked up.
Pat Voveris, one of two new Town Council members, was introduced.
Adjournment:The meeting was adjourned at 4:30PM so everyone could enjoy the bull roast and music.
